Do you have an idea for something you want to create out of an old Colkegan barrel? Now could be your chance! We have twelve 2L barrels at the distillery that are in no condition to go into our barrel aging kits, so we’re going to see what else they can become.
The first twelve people to sign up will get a 2L barrel to use to make a mini of what they would like to do with a 53 gallon barrel. That’s right, the winner of this contest gets a 53 gallon barrel to recreate their idea full-sized.
Your project can be anything you like: furniture, home accents, dishes, art – as long as we can tell it was made from a barrel, it qualifies!
You’ve got until January 31st to pick up your barrel (but we only have twelve, so don’t procrastinate), and a month to make your creation. The finished projects will be on display in our distillery tasting room and on our social media in March and the winner will be announced at a big shindig at the distillery on Friday, April 3rd!
Winner will be determined by votes.
First place: 53 gallon used Colkegan barrel
Second place: $75 Santa Fe Spirits gift certificate
Third place: $50 Santa Fe Spirits gift certificate

Pick up your barrel and fill out registration form at Santa Fe Spirits distillery by January 31
·
We have 12 barrels only: first come, first served, ONE PER CUSTOMER
·
We cannot reserve barrels – you must come to the distillery to register and pick up a barrel
·
Project can contain other materials, but the primary material must be the barrel
·
Barrel, or barrel parts, must be recognizable in finished project
·
Barrel projects must be returned to Santa Fe Spirits distillery by February 29
·
Barrels will be on display at the distillery from March 1 through April 3
·
Winner will have to pick up their full-sized barrel in person, we cannot ship or deliver the barrel
·
All barrel projects can be picked up after April 3
·
Barrel projects will be posted on our social media during March, and will be featured in our April newsletter
·
There will be a ballot box at the distillery throughout the month of March, all visitors to the distillery will have the opportunity to vote for their favorite
·
Friday, April 3 there will be a party at the distillery, voting will continue until 7pm, then votes will be tallied, and the winner will be announced
·
Winner will be determined by number of votes cast at the distillery, total likes on Instagram, and through the newsletter links
·
Santa Fe Spirits employees and families can’t participate (other than voting!)
